Assigning a Smart Guide to another user

Currently I am fielding estimate requests from our website.  In Sugar I create the estimate, email it to the customer, and then turn the estimate into an Opportunity,  From the Opportunity page, I start our Smart Guide Template that automates email follow ups and reminds our staff about tasks they need to accomplish.  However, even though I edit the Smart Guide and assign it to one of our sales people, the tasks still keep coming to me.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've attached a screen shot of what it looks like when I go to edit the guide.  In this one, I've already changed the 'Assigned to' from me to Ken.  However, once I click Save and check the stages in the template individually, each task is still assigned to me.

  • Hi  !

Are the opportunities assigned to the user who you would like to assign the steps in the Smart Guide to? If that is the case you can choose to change "Target Assignee" to "Parent Assignee".

  • Thank you Frida.  The only place I see where to change anything from 'Target Assignee' to 'Parent Assignee' is in each separate step.  I've attached a screen shot of the steps.  Once I add the Smart Guide, I click the drop down arrow next to 'Add Stage' and then the screen from my first message pops up. I select the person I'd like to assign it to, and press Save.  When I go back to the Smart Guide on the Opportunity page, I can see that the guide is assigned to the person I selected, but I'm still assigned to each task.

If I go into 'Configure Task' from the 'Add Stage' menu, I see where I can change the Target Assignee to Parent User from Current User, but when I selected it and went back to see, I was still assigned each task.  I clicked through all the options in the 'Assignee Rule' and that didn't seem to change it either.  Sorry, I'm still so new to Sugar and trying to figure it out.  I really appreciate your help.
