SugarConnect Logon out of Outlook

Hi there,

We have a department that uses Sugar Cloud for several years now. They decided to extend it with SugarConnect. The  project leader had setup SugarConnect a couple of months back , no issues there. Works fine.

Now that she wants to roll out SugarConnect to the rest of the teammembers, we were first blocked because an autorisation on O365 level was required. After clearing that , SugarConnect is now available in Outlook (menu bar). However as soon as you try to connect to SugarCRM out of an email for instance, the process stops again now asking for a userID and password apparently from SugarCRM. SugarCRM however is single sign on? So what password is the system expecting here ? Since with SSO user no longer remember/know their password for SugarCRM.

Bye now

  • Curious as to what the end game is here.  Ours is extremely slow which has caused users to no longer use it.  It would also require logging in daily and just added steps.

  •   there is some information you’re not providing. Is your Sugar on-premise? If so, SSO only works with Sugar Connect if your are using SugarIDM. SSO does not work for Sugar Connect if you are configured via LDAP or SAML

  • Thanks Jeff, they use SugarCloud. I myself , i'm new to the cloud scene, what is SugarIDM doing ?
