BPM Doc Merge - How to email the generated document automatically ?

+1 this. I have been trying to find a way to do this for longer than i care to admit.

Nice to hear that I am not crazy :-). Of course, we can do this by code, but before go that direction, I would rather be sure that it is not only a settings issue.

documentation etc is lacking on DocMerge which is disappointing. don't seem to be able to get much on wDocs as well.

Sending by email using BPM is a work in progress and will be released soon and you will be able to use it.

if the feature is not available in v12, then what happens for all customers already using wDocs that have this feature on v11, not able to upgrade??

We're working on this feature especially to give the customers possibility to upgrade from 11 version without losing any important functionality - so it will be part of v12 soon

when you say will be part of v12 soon, will that be a maintenance release for everyone, or v12.2 for cloud only customers, meaning On-Prem will have to wait until v13?

It will be part of the upcoming cloud release, and we are evaluating it it can be backported to 12.0.x for on-site hosted customers

Yes, it is 12.2 cloud-only release. But we are considering backporting some features to 12.0.x for On-Prem customers.
