How does it work with sugar connect and the calendar?

In this case we are using Office 365, and we would like to be able to create the meetings in the calendar and when creating and inviting the person (which is a contact in our Sugar) it should be synced to the meeting module in SugarCRM to see that there is a meeting planned between us and the contact. It should also be visible in the Account module.

Is this working atm?

  • Hi Sofia,

See here for the details of what to expect with Calendar sync: https://support.sugarcrm.com/Documentation/Plug-ins/Sugar_Connect/Sugar_Connect_Portal_User_Guide/#Working_With_Your_Synced_Records.

There are a number of assumptions that go into the syncing process overall. I suggest carefully reviewing how the syncing process works, and comparing it with how your users would like it to work. Specifically, there are rules around recurring meetings (not supported as of now) and initial sync (one-way from Sugar to O365) that may impact how it is used by your end-users.

Regarding meetings being visible in the Account module, they will appear in the Meetings subpanel for an account record if they are associated with a contact for that account. You can also add them to the Account dashlet, so that they appear in the sidepane of the account record.
