deleting Sync'd calendar records

We are using Sugar Professional version 6.5.15. One of my team has duplicate recurring appts in their calendar. It says that "this meeting originated in another system" but I can't see this appt in their outlook calendar so therefor unable to delete it and I am unable to delete it in Sugar. Is there a way I can remove this from their calendar as the administrator?

  • What version of the Outlook Plug-in and of Sugar are you using? I just tested this with the 14.04.01 (April 2014) version of the plug-in and a 6.5.20 version of Sugar and my recurring meeting was removed from Sugar when removed from Outlook.

  • It's Sugar Professional 6.5.16. Unknown of the exact plugin version. No longer have the users system. I just got put in charge of the helpdesk tickets for sugar instead of our marketing team and can not get this thing to remove the meetings. I found that the meeting was actually on one of the users archived calendars. I removed it from there and forced a sync to sugar. Still shows up. They don't show up on the calendar, but they do however show up in the meetings dashboard area. Any thoughts?
  • Without knowing the version of the plug-in, my first step would be to make sure the user is on the most recent release. The version can be found in Outlook by going to File > SugarCRM > About. This could help to ensure that this does not occur in the future.

    However, it sounds like the meetings in Sugar may already be orphaned from the meetings in Outlook since you said they are deleted in Outlook. If you have database access to your instance, the orphaned meetings may need to be removed manually as the delete option is disabled in Sugar since Sugar is still trying to link the meetings to the Outlook meeting.
