Report on Workflow Email Alerts

We are using workflow module to send a welcome email (alert) to leads when created. Is it possible to report on the emails that have been sent ?

From what I can see it appears there is no email record retained in the system for Workflow Alerts even when sent to recipients as distinct from users and so reporting is not possible.

  • Hello Greg, What Björn said is accurate. One way to make the alerts reportable is to include an action in the workflow for "Add Related Note". So when an email alert is triggered, a note is placed on the lead record stating, "Welcome email sent." Even if not reporting, this is a good practice for letting users know that an automated communication has occurred.
