Sugar Dev Hours - Who can we suggest a topic ?

Hi  ,   and other SugarCRM dev team,

how and where can we suggest topics for the next dev hours ? I think that it would be great if everybody could suggest and vote for topics that you can further involve in a dev hours.

For instance, here are some topics that I would like to talk / hear about.

  • Sugar BPM : how to extend Sugar BPM capabilities : custom BPM action box (with parameters, etc.), tips & tricks, how to handle the issues with BPM and massive import process or how to disable BPM with custom code
  • Search and Global Search : how to extend the global search (email address management, search inside the archive documents contents etc.), how to set up, manage and tune elasticsearch ; indexes and other tips for classic Sugar searches
  • Sugar Console / Metrics (Sell, Serve) : how to customize it ? how to create a custom console for a custom module ?
  • Job management : trigger a job on demand, how to prioritize some jobs instead another one, how to log error in a efficient way, how to handle load management and overlapping processes
  • Hooks and JS : how to notify an end user when a background process failed (often an after_save hook) ? what should and what should not be done in a Hook ?
  • Monitoring and tuning : tips about Sugar config, job scheduler setup and other advanced settings , how to use custom log files for a cloud server etc.

So it would be great if you can create a dedicated space for the dev community.

Thanks,

Fred

  •  good idea, let me check with our team the possibilities and get back to you and the community.

I do believe we've already touched in all the points you mentioned, perhaps you can revisit our Event Recaps and see if we've covered everything. or perhaps some more advanced discussion within each of the topics, but we'd need some more details on what the discussion will be so I can find the right expert to the call.
