double click on a row in list view not changing to edit mode for Custom modules

Question

When looking at the list view of standard modules like Accounts, Leads, or Contacts, the user can double click on a row to edit the values, but this does not work on our Custom modules. 
 What am I missing?

This is a known bug that I came across a while back in v14 I think it was. It is because the code makes an assumption about the module name setup. There is a hotfix for it if you contact the support desk for bug 94136 which I think got fixed in 14.1.0 and looks like it works in v25
