I want to run a BPM to update a checkbox if the value in a dropdown changes from a high value to a lower value - can this be done. The values are 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0% so if it goes from 100 to 50 - update box but if it goes from 50 to 100 do not update box

Since you have a limited set of standardized values, this is possible within SugarBPM using a combination of AND and OR evaluations in the start event to mirror your business requirements. The start event should look like this:
