Reports in Sugar

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to bucket data in a report

e.g I am showing Amount Per Product but would like to show Amount per Product Family instead - Product Family is not a field on my Database.

This capability is available in Salesforce reports so I was wondering if there is similar in Sugar

    In SugarCRM you have a choice to add a Category and also a Type for any product, so those would be your best option that would then allow you to report at those levels.

    Example:

    Category = Vegetables 

    This would then allow you to report on total amount of vegetables

    you can also then add Type to identify each, i.e. Carrots, Potatoes etc.

    Within each Category, you can also add a 'Parent' category.

    i.e. going with the example above, a Parent category could simply be 'Food', in case the business also sells non food items.

    P.S. you can also rename either Category or Type to 'Product Family' if it's important terminology for your business.
