Dashlet: Most Active

Hi,

I am exploring the dashlets the Dashboards have to offer and I just noticed the "Most Active" dashlet. I put in the dashlet to my dashboard and it is coming up blank. How can I use this dashlet and get it to populate?

I could not find any information online about this dashlet.

  • Hi  ,

Sorry, but this is due to a known product issue, #90473. I'm creating a support case on your behalf to be associated with that issue so we can better track affected customers.

  •  It appears that issue #90473 has been closed with a resolution of No Plan to Implement at this time

Does that mean that this dashlet will not be returning and do you know of any alternate solutions to obtain this data?

  • Hi  ,

If you are looking to better understand how users are using Sugar, our plugin, Upsert User Adoption, provides valuable insights into individual and aggregate adoption across your company. You'll see some examples of how that data is visualized through the link above. Sugar does track some usage data that you can report on, but in our experience working with clients, we do not find it reliable for understanding user adoption trends for the following key reasons:

    Sugar Upsert User Adoption
User Logins Sugar only tracks explicit user logins. If you use Sugar on a daily basis, your browser will typically remember your session which means users may not need to log in for a week or more assuming they use Sugar from the same device. Our plugin treats each day where a user performs a monitored activity as a login. We also track daily user sessions. As long as a user is performing at least one monitored action every 15 minutes, then that is treated as part of a continuous session.
Platforms Monitored Sugar only tracks records accessed through the standard browser. It does not track when records are accessed via other tools like Sugar Connect, Sugar Mobile, or custom integrations. Our plugin gives you the option to select which platforms you want to monitor so you can better understand how and when users are engaging with the application.
Modules Monitored Sugar tracks activity across every module in Sugar creating unnecessary data Our plugin allows you to configure which modules you want to monitor so you can get concise reports on where you expect your users to focus their time
Types of Actions Outside of explicit logins, Sugar only tracks when a user explicitly opens a record view. It does not track when records are viewed via other features like focus drawers. Our plugin tracks has the option to track all CRUD actions (Create, Read, Update, Delete). These actions are monitored
Redundant Actions Sugar tracks every record view as a unique action regardless of how recent the same action was carried out on the same record. Our plugin does not track redundant actions on the same record when they are performed within a short timeframe of each other
Roll Up Reporting Sugar does not offer a way to easily aggregate reporting to understand how a team or job function has adopted the system Our plugin offers the ability for managers to see individual performance of all direct and indirect reports. Additionally, adoption metrics can be rolled up by a user-based field of your choice (e.g. department, office, etc.) so you can see how different groups within your company are leveraging Sugar.

We offer a 30-day trial with the plug-in and if you would like a more in-depth demo, please contact us via our website!

  •  - I can't say for certain as these priorities and statuses can change, but it is not currently being reviewed or investigated. However, I just had a case created on your behalf to link to the issue to help our Product team understand the impact (like I did for Brittany as well) as issues and ideas are evaluated.
