Scheduled reports .pdf need to password protect the full pdf?

Hi,

Created some scheduled reports (hourly) that will be send to external email addresses using a workaround. (set up a rule in MS exchange to distribute this report to external email addresses) this works fine.

But here's my question:

These reports consist of confidential information is there a way to fully password protect these .pdf reports Using one standard password for all pdf reports or something like it (doing this manually isn’t an option as it will generate 50 different reports every hour). If this isn't possible for a .pdf can it be done using a .csv file instead?

Looking forward to your reply.

Best,

Rick (Sugar (version 12.0.5))

  • We have an on-site implementation of SugarCRM and since back in v7 we used some customization of the PDFManager to run the pdf through a third party tool (qpdf) installed on our Sugar Server to lock down the PDFs. This is part of a series of PDF customizations specific to our custom contracts module.

I will be curious to see if there is a better way to do this.
