Migrating Reports

From the graphic user interface Sugar doesn't have the feature to export and import reports on other instances. 
This feature is documented as the following idea

However, reports do live on your database. 
Assuming that the fields exist with the same names in the two systems you could export the content rows from the table "saved_reports" from the origin instance and import them to the new instance. 
Mind that the id's of users should be adapted to match the ones on the target instance.

Our community director Alex Nassi is aware of this limitation and it's working on possible solutions for your request. 
In the meanwhile I'll post the content of the idea 74374 for visibility: 

Subject:
Ability to fully export the structure of a report to move from one system to another

Description: 
From Partner: "Can a feature be created to export reports from one system to another (similar to the Export Button in studio) or can reports be added to this export?"

This includes the ability to export the entire report structure (fields, labels, type, column headers) instead of building a report again from scratch from one system to another
