Cloud Drive | How to use a Google 'Shared Drive' as the root path?

Hello all,

Happy New Year...

Trying to set a root path for cloud drive connected to Google but using a Shared Drive.

I can't seem to navigate to any shared drives though?

Am I misisng something? Or is it not possible?

Also tried the podcast too but that referes to the docs, but in the docs no mention of using Shared Drive?

    Just to add:
     - I can see the logic in my mind as to why any shared drives are not viisible to select...  
     - If they are not it is not a show stopper either.

    I am actually looking to remove some very large files people have stored in docs.   I was first going to move them to cloud drive (google drive).  If that won't work I can get the users to do it themselves.

    Finally - I also wondered if it is possible (using postman and api) to delete the file from a document record?
     - I have used this elsewhere:  {{url}}module/id/file/filename to delete a file from a note for example, and leave the note.
     - But that doesnt work for {{url}}Documents/id/file/filename.   =      "error_message": "No method found to remove attachment.".  Do I need to try with the document revision instead, somehow?
    Idea is move the file to google shared drive (the users already have access to the shared drive).  Then delete the file from the Document record and leave a message in the description:   'Move to Google share as the file size was mahoosive!, here's the link'.
    There are not many of these big files...  But I can't create a documenet with no file?

    Shared Drives (not Shared Folders) are not supported in Sugar's implementation of Google Drive. There are a few ideas for this. If you vote for the idea(s), https://portal.sugarondemand.com/index.php#supp_Bugs.

    Ah that's great - Thanks again Jeff.
    I can't see any vote mechanism in the ideas linked? (am logged in of course)
    So, I rasied a case to support asking to be added to those ideas too.

    The ideas make perfect sense for using one root path to store docs in google drive (where we have tons and tons of space).
