Hello there, I have a customer (Sell 13.2) who would like to allow their users to reopen opportunities and restart a smart guide. They have 2 templates (new biz & renewal), so the new smart guide should be the same as the previous one. Users can create a guide manually, but they would like to automate the process and reset some of the data on the opp. I've tried 2 methods without success: BPM : I tried a "add related record action" > add a smart guide on the opp. That fails: error 500. Also, the action does not have the smart guide template field. Action button: action = create a smart guide, prefill template (same as parent opp) and available modules (opp). That fails with "please solve errors" but no error is shown on the page Since Sugar is a no-code platform, I'd rather avoid doing this via code :) Any idea? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Damien

Hi Damien Pochon , To be able to kick off multiple of the same Smart Guide template, I was able to do this by following the 'Change Field' action with another 'Change Field' action. In the second action, I set the 'Smart Guide Template' field to a blank value. In my test with that setup, each triggering of the BPM definition created an additional Smart Guide related to the record. Chris

Hello there,

I have a customer (Sell 13.2) who would like to allow their users to reopen opportunities and restart a smart guide. They have 2 templates (new biz & renewal), so the new smart guide should be the same as the previous one.

Users can create a guide manually, but they would like to automate the process and reset some of the data on the opp.

I've tried 2 methods without success:

Hi Damien Pochon ,

You should use BPM to automate this process. Rather than 'Add Related Record', your action should be set to 'Change Field'. In the field listing, locate the 'Smart Guide Template' field and select the desired Smart Guide you want to launch based on the prior trigger and conditions.

Thanks for the suggestion! I should have thought about it, as this is what we're using to add the initial smart guide. A tad counter intuitive :)

However, this approach does not work as we're adding the same template. It works if I change the template, however.

Any other idea?
