Document Preview ?

Hello,

does anyone of you know a good solution to preview the file attached to a document or a note ?

For instance a scanner will create automatically documents inside Sugar ; then, a user must, from a dedicated dashboard link the document to the corresponding customer. We would like that a quick preview can be provided instead of having to download and open each documents.

Any idea / suggestion is welcome.

    Hi Fred,

    For the needs of a customer we developped a document viewer, which is displaying the content of a pdf or image document. I added a small icon when I detect that I'm dealing with an image or a pdf : 

    Clicking on this magnifying glass I open a drawer displaying the content of the file : 
    The pagination is there, you can navigate through the document.
    I used the following library to perform my plugin :

    great work...does this doc preview work within the emails and cases modules?

    My use cases:

    • Customer sends in email, which includes a doc. 
    • Sales rep writes an outbound email and wants to double check the attachments (e.g. price quotation)

    Sorry for the delay of answer ... 

    In fact it is working everywhere you have the documents module enabled, I can ask my colleague to test (I'm not involved in Sugar projects anymore, personal choice of career) but I think it could work.
