Send email to inactive user via process definitions

Hi All,

We have process definations and now some users we have marked as inactive.

So if any new lead is created the we are sending email to assigned to user but email sent with TO blank even though there was email address.

can anyone suggest how to send email to inactive users via BPM.

Kindest Regards,

Shreya

  • Hey  ,

I noticed this is not the first post about inactive users that you mentioned (example:  Allow inactive users in all fields which are related to users module ).

What are you trying to do, and why do you need to work with inactive users?

Normally when you inactivate a user, you are prompted to re-assign the records to a new user.

I would follow an approach that aligns more with the product and the way it works, leveraging only active users throughout the application for active/in-use records, and it will save you further pain down the road.

    Hope it helps

  • Hello  ,

I may also not fully understand your requirement but this might help:

We have created some group users just for the purpose of emailing scheduled reports to and for emailing a Lead email template to.

So the user does not have a licence, and cannot log into CRM.

For the Lead example we have some parent company employees who hanbdle a certain region.
When a new Lead enters SugarCRM we assign it based on the Country (assign to the group user).
Then in the process definition and process definition email template) I email them the lead info.

*Note - to disable email upon assignment (which is enabled by default) for a group user see this post
(so it won't try to send the system email with the link to the lead record, which they can't log into anyway ;-)

Hopefully useful... if I understand what you mean by 'Inactive Users'?
    Luke.
