Last Updated - Next Steps field

If having the timestamp be reportable is a critical need, then your suggestion of a timestamp field and accompanying BPM definition is what I would recommend as well. If you are only looking to have a visual display of when the field was last updated and who updated it, our Upsert Last Modified By plug-in is a great solve for this need.

You can create a datetime field e.g. Next_Step_DT which can be set by BPM each time when a record is updated and the Next_Step filed is changed.

QQ - how did you add the specific Criteria for Next Steps change? FYI at the moment I am doing it for Leads.
