Hi
In Sugar v12 (tested on 12.0.3) when you add tab to record view and have date field on the bottom, when you click on it it doesn't show calendar over subpanels so user is unable to select date.
I tested it on Tasks module where i moved Start Date field on new panel and added just another tab to the view. You can see issue on the picture below where only header of calendar is visible. Is there any way to fix this issue other than moving date field?

I've seen this issue before, it was documented as #85158 ( portal.sugarondemand.com/ ) which was already solved in version 13.
The best is to create a support case requesting a hotfix for it, after installing the hotfix the picker will show up over the subpanel and not behind:
