How to attach static files during email sending

Hi All Developers,

We have a process definition which has email sending functionality.

We need to attach static files during sending, how can we attach it? In "Message Event" there is no option. We checked "Process Email templates" and there is no option also. Any idea how we can achieve this?

This is not possible without extending the application via custom code.
What you could do instead is host the static file on Google Drive/Sharepoint/Dropbox/Box.com and include the link to the file in your template.

Hello,

with the new DocMerge feature, you can create a basic WORD without any static content and use the custom BPM action that allows you to generate AND send it by email. It is only a cloud feature and it is also a poor workarround, with a new document or revision generated every time.

We developped a custom feature to do this but I am not sure that this dev is cloud compliant. Furthermore and as suggested by James Banbury, a shared document through a link is less flexible, no custom code and no antispam / firewall / size restriction / mail rules that should block / reject your email.
