How To Store The Date of A Field Change?

I would like to store the date when the RLI Sales Stage changes. I've tried various techniques including Custom Calculated Fields and SugarBPM, but I can't quite find the right method to accomplish this. I've looked at several solutions, but can't seem to make them work...

Any thoughts out there? Thanks ahead of time! VO

  • Hello

Techlically, a number of days/hours between 2 phases could be also calculated quite easily with configuring.

while IMHO the biggest challenge here is methodological- how to take into account jumps between stages and also rollbacks, so that data of time between stages for the number of RLIs could meet our expectations to the reports

    For example:
lets consider OOTB sales stages for RLIs and we need to build weekly report on RLIs
lets say we know that during the last week 2 RLIs experienced changes in Sales Stages, 3 changes in total:
    1) RLI-1 stage was Prospecting and changed after 3 days to the next one - Qualification
    2) RLI-2 stage Prospecting was updated to Value Proposition after the same 3 days, then rolled back to Qualification after another 1 day.

How would you like to see this in the weekly report?
The easiest way is to report as it is in a form of listing

    RLI-1: Prospecting -> Qualification after 3 days
RLI-2: Prospecting -> Value Proposition after 3 days
RLI-2: Qualification <- Value Proposition after 1 day

where -> means "has advanced to" and <- means "has rolled back from"

However, if we consider the sequence of SalesStages and look at the part of the funnel which is Prospecting -> Qualification -> NeedAnalysis -> ValueProposition, then how could we make a projection of such history to the estimation of success?

    My example:

RLI-1: Prospecting + 3 days = Qualification - less then 4 days in total to Qualification - conclusion: well done!!!
RLI-2: Prospecting + 3days + 1 day = Qualification -  equal to 4 days in total to Qualification -conclusion: not that bad!!!

What is your vision of the reports?
as soon as we manage to decide about the report form I'm going to draw a flowchart in Logic Builder to let the platform do the work and collect the data in a report-friendly manner
