I expect this will be obvious when somebody explains it but I have been unable to find a reason in the documentation...
Appreciate any pointers - thank you :-)

Hi Luke,
probably, the Target Module for Process Definition does not provide Relationships that could be used in SugarBPM OOTB
Can you check whether it works on your instance when switching the definition to Account or Contact module as a target?
What is the task?
I wonder whether SugarBPM extended with Logic Builder for Sugar could be of help
All the Best,
Dmytro

Thank you Dymytro :-)
OK yes - So if I swap modules then the option is available. The module I was in is a custom module with no subpanels, therefore no relationships can be created...
See, I knew it would be clear once you said it! haha....
I don't actually need to utilise yet, but wanted to explore the option as a way of using admin tools instead of code changes - with a view to removing some pre existing code changes which are proving hard to untangle.
Thanks for you very quick reply too.
Luke.
Oh, magic happens :)
Speaking of the admin options - traditionally you might check Sugar university for Studio and SugarBPM training courses
But if we discuss user stories configuring, I'd suggest additionally explore integroscrm.com/.../ by selecting some interesting topics from 12 episodes of the series "Let’s Practically Apply SugarCRM Configuration over Code Development..."
If any questions feel free to drop me a line
Cheers,
Dmytro
