November Office Hours Recap
Our November Developer Office Hours session dived into the building and selling add-ons thru the SugarOutfitters marketplace. Our special guest was Jerry Clark from our partner Upsert who shared their experience in selling Add-Ons on Outfitters. The session was recorded on November 2nd and was an informal discussion on the ways to offer your Add-On solutions and services and how to handle the licensing and user onboarding of products.
Session Highlights
Matt kicked it off by explaining how products and services could be packaged and priced on SugarOutfitters. He gave a demo that showed the flexibility of pricing plans and how they can be set up to accommodate many different pricing models.
Rafael demoed the use of the SugarOutfitters licensing API, the sample license add-on that can be used to integrate your own MLPs easily, and some best practices for how to validate a customer's license within your own add-on solutions.
Jerry Clark also shared his insights on how they integrated with SugarOutfitters and some of the best practices they follow to ensure their add-ons are kept up to date with the latest Sugar versions and can be installed reliably into SugarCloud instances. Jerry also talked about the unique way that Upsert integrated with SugarOutfitters licensing thru the use of webhooks.
At the end of the session, Matt Marum shared some exciting information about the SugarOutfitters roadmap. Lots of great things still to come for the SugarOutfitters marketplace!
