In case you missed the latest webinar...
We just wrapped our developer webinars for the upcoming Q1 2024 (13.3) release. Don't forget that Sugar Developers can test drive this upcoming release on your local machines using the Sugar Release Preview program.
Key Takeaways
Here's some of the highlights from the webinar. For all the details, check out the recording and slides below.
Installing incompatible PHP code to SugarCloud
The PHP 8.2 upgrade has been slowed by the fact that some customers and partners have continued to install packages that include PHP code that's incompatible with PHP 8.2 after we completed code remediation using Rector. You've likely been contacted if we detected this problem with one of your instances. But it's very important that any PHP code you're installing into SugarCloud is PHP 8.2 compatible.
User Management moved out of BWC!
The Users module including all the related functionality has been converted from BWC to Sidecar user interface. A very big upgrade to one of the last BWC modules that non-Admin users regularly use.
SugarOutfitters Package Scanning Improvements
Outfitters partners now benefit from our enhanced package scanning functionality. We now verify that all packages uploaded to SugarOutfitters are PHP 8.2 compatible using Rector. We also run automated tests to make sure uploaded packages can be installed successfully into all supported Sugar versions. Outfitters partners are e-mailed automatically with scan results when the upload packages.
