Our December 3rd Developer Office Hours had a mix of updates, good conversations, and a few bittersweet moments. We shared that after 13 years at Sugar, Matt Marum is moving on to new challenges in his career. His impact on the product and the community has been huge, and he’ll definitely be missed. Thank you Matt you rock!!
Session Highlights
Rafa kicked things off by talking about what’s next for the Marketplace and partnerships. With Matt’s departure, he and Dani will be tag-teaming efforts to keep everything running smoothly, and they shared a few helpful contacts for anyone who needs support in day-to-day operations.
From there, Rafa showed what he’s been building lately — an enhanced WebLogicHook that will be released as open source under the BuildingBlocks project. It’s shaping up to be a much more robust option for event-driven integrations, with things like advanced authentication, retry logic, synchronous/asynchronous support, and more.
We also got into some advanced SugarBPM scenarios, and Rafa walked through how he’d approach a few use cases raised by the community. Lots of good back-and-forth in that part of the call.
