Yesterday, Wednesday, August 3rd, marked our first ever Developer Office Hours session!
In case you missed this announcement, Developer Office Hours is a brand new monthly series of technical enablement sessions primarily targeting our worldwide Sugar developer community. These expert-hosted sessions entail interactive learning segments which will begin with a topic overview and transition to open Q&A with attendees. Sugar developers of all experience levels are welcome to join as well as anyone interested in becoming or remaining Sugar Developer Certified.
First Session Recap
Our first ever session on August 3rd was focused on the rollout of the ExternalResourceClient and the end of the use of PHP cURL in new Sugar customizations. This was a hot security topic with a big impact on partners and customers. Our special guests Keshav, SugarCRM Development Manager, and Alexander, Security Consultant, answered several live questions from the audience about the ExternalResourceClient.
