Thanks for Joining Our August 6th Developer Office Hours!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our August 6th Developer Office Hours! This session was all about diving into Building Blocks Roundtable: Tools & Techniques to Accelerate Sugar Development! We had a great turnout and engaging discussions.

Session Highlights:

We kicked things off with a quick update: the planned UI changes originally scheduled for the 25.2 release have been postponed to a future release. That gave us the opportunity to focus and double down on the tools and techniques that help us all to build faster and smarter with Sugar.

Rafa led the session with a detailed walkthrough of the open-source BuildingBlocks project, sharing insights on its structure, how to build it, and highlighting some of the SugarBPM actions contributed by our internal teams. He has also created a release with MLPs ready to be installed in case building is not an option.

In addition to that, Rafa introduced a handy new resource, a Postman collection built to streamline your API testing workflows. It will be available soon for everyone to use as a helpful tool for developers across the board.

To round things out, Rafa also gave a quick demo of the new AI Search feature from Sugar Support — a powerful addition that's designed to make it faster and easier to find the help you need.

    regarding the "created a release with MLPs ready to be installed"  I just tried  and getting the following error message during start of install:

    Scanning Package 

    Installation failed! 

    The package you are attempting to install does not conform to the policies established by SugarCloud or by your system administrator.

    • SugarCloud customers must obtain a new package from the package provider that addresses the issues described below.
    • If you are running Sugar locally, you can relax your Module Loader restrictions to allow the package to be installed.

    Manifest Issues

    manifest.php
    Both $manifest and $installdefs are expected to be defined


    Looks like these packages are for very old pre v10 SUgarCRM
