Reports and Advanced Segmentation

After creating a distribution list, we would like to start from it and create a sub-list/segmentation - how can we do that?

How can we create a report taking info from a specific list (eg. all the records where language = ENG)?

Creating an email, when selecting the recipients we see "Advanced Segmentation" but we cannot understand where and how we can find this and create it - could you please help us out?

    When you're in the custom reports area of the system, click create 'Advanced Report' and the following options:

    Data Source: Standard Views
    Table/View: AccountContactDistribution
    Report Type: Tabular

    Then fill out the rest of the information. This will create a custom report that links the Accounts, Contacts, and Distribution List tables together so you can reference them and filter them further.

    Add the columns you would like (Firstname, Lastname, Email, etc), then on the Filter table you can filter off of DistributionList.ListName. This will get you started and show the contacts within that distribution list. Then, you can further filter/segment these records however you would like since you can filter off of their associated Account or Contact/Lead card.

    I believe that Advanced Segmentation you're referring to in the Campaign is referencing our Dynamic Email Content. It's a pretty neat feature, if you haven't tried it out, where you can create several 'segments' then associate each segment to specific content in an email. You would send one email out and depending on which segment that recipient is associated to they will receive a content specifically for them.

    However, I believe the custom report mentioned above will get your where you would like to go.
