Dealing with multiple results from a calculated fields

A bank wants to do a "Work Order" (similar to service request) that will collect information that will be assigned to a Loan Servicing team that will process an existing loan to do a loan rate modification.  The work order starts with the Financial Account, in this case a loan.  The loan has a relationship to customers.  In this case Mr Caron, and Mrs Caron.  We want both customers to be listed in this Work Order, or related to the work order.  I believe they could both be brought in to a doc merge (although I have not tried yet), but it is also important for the Loan Servicer to see there are multiple borrowers so they can be notified, listed and included in all correspondence both in and not in the CRM.  Using a Calculated field and a Relate will only give the last result.  There can be many customers related to one Financial Account.  Is there a way to have them either in the work order or related to the work order with out having to manually relate them.  It seems there should be a way since they are already related to the parent Financial Account.

Thank you for any thoughts or suggestions,

Mathew

  • Hi  ,

To paraphrase, you have a many-to-many relationship between Work Orders and Customers, and you would like to list or table the multiple Customers in a DocMerge template so that the resulting work order includes the names of all related customers, whether one or five of them.

This section of SugarCRM's Doc Merge documentation covers how to use the template assistant to make lists (and below that section, tables) of related records. Please review that, let me know if it meets your need, or follow-up with any questions you have.

If I've misinterpreted the question in any way, please let me know. I am happy to help however I can.
