There was another thread about similar but can´t find it. Are you running 32bit Office?

If so, try upgrading to 64bit. 

I was running 32bit Office with problems but fine now with 64bit.

Finally getting around to revisiting this. 

Turns out the client is running 64bit office across all their devices, obviously they're still having issues.

This is such a strange one and wondered if anyone else has come across this.
