Clicking names changes the URL in the address bar, but the browser does not navigate to it, tested on 4 machines. Is it an account issue?

You could try resetting the user's preferences. Open the User Profile and click Reset User Preferences.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll give it a shot and report back.
From the "Contacts" module, I click on the names and nothing happens, even after clearing preferences.
