Thanks for such a detailed article, I played with your code to understand how things work (As I am a newbie to Sugar),

SO I have another question, How to handle the Edit button dropdown and overall editing functionality on a record view?

So far I am able to show only 4 fields of my choice but also want to remove editing functionality and to have this view behave as a read-only view.
