As previously noted all Sugar customers using Collabspot service are required to move to Sugar Connect by February 28, 2021. After this date, Collabspot will no longer function, and SugarCRM will cease support and upgrades for the product.
Sugar Connect is our latest productivity integration product that extends your key customer experience data from Sugar into Office 365 and G Suite. Connect provides capabilities that are equivalent to Collabspot in most respects and exceeds Collabspot in many ways, including:
- Integration with Office 365 and G Suite
- Support for MacOS
- A meeting scheduler that makes it easy to schedule meetings with customers
- Ongoing support and maintenance
What Action Must I Take?
Sugar customers using Collabspot have already been provisioned with a Sugar Connect license. Also, a support case has been created to manage your migration to Sugar Connect. Please log into the Sugar Portal to check your case status, or connect with your SugarCRM point of contact to ensure a smooth transition to Sugar Connect prior to March 1, 2021.
What does End-of-Life mean?
SugarCRM regularly retires older applications and versions to focus on delivering higher quality and performance with new products and versions. After the EOL date has passed, the Collabspot product will be shut down and you will no longer be able to use it. In addition, SugarCRM will no longer provide customer support, maintenance patches, or bug fixes for it.
What versions of Collabspot does the EOL apply to?
This end-of-life date applies to all versions of Collabspot Classic, Collabspot Classic Standard, and Collabspot Classic Power editions.
Can a customer choose to remain on Collabspot?
No, customers who are currently using Collabspot will have to move their email sync process to Sugar Connect.
Below are some alternatives that can help you migrate to Sugar Connect, depending on your current situation:
Collabspot with Current Versions of SugarCRM (8.0 or greater):
As stated above, after February 28, 2021, Collabspot for Sugar users will no longer function, and Sugar will cease support and upgrades for the product. However, we have provided a very straightforward upgrade path from Collabspot to Sugar Connect at no additional license cost. Collabspot with Older Versions of SugarCRM (earlier than 8.0):
As stated above, after February 28 2021, Collabspot will no longer function for Sugar users, and Sugar will cease support and upgrades for the product.

Before a customer can move over to Sugar Connect, customers also need to be on a current supported version of Sugar (8.0 or greater; preferably 10.0.x). Once the update to a current version is complete, please follow these easy steps to upgrade to Sugar Connect.
