Contact or Account Owner

I am trying to mass change the Contact Owner in Sugar Market.  I imported a distribution list into SM and it made me the Owner.  I am trying to update the owner in SM so that it matches the Assigned to person in Sugar CRM.  What is the field name for the Owner Name so that I can upload and overwrite?  See image where Owner Name shows Bradley Weedon.

The Owner or Assigned To person should be Matt Sims.

This is an issue because I am trying to send emails to customers and I want the actual owner to get the reply emails.


  • Hi Brad,

    If a contact record has synced from CRM to Market, then it should have the correct assigned owner. I would confirm that there is not a duplicate (one record from CRM and the other imported). Should you need to reassign the owner, the best method is to add a column of "Owner ID" to your distribution list import file with the value being the Owner ID of Matt Sims from Sugar Market. You can find this by going to User Menu > Users and searching Matt's name. You will see the ID number listed there. Then reimport your list with the import wizard set to "Overwrite" and the records will be reassigned.

  • That worked.  Thank you.  We still need to figure out why Sugar CRM is not syncing to Market.
