Sugar Market Lead Push

Hello,

Two questions:

a) Sugar market does not push leads to Sugar if the email is unverified correct? Or are there any other reasons why a lead doesn't get pushed to sugar - score, activity, etc
b) how to verify an email address so it will? - We have a legitimate email that is coming up as unverified for some reason

Thanks

  • Hi ,

Sugar Market will push and pull a lead/contact regardless of the verified status if it's configured to push. That status field is not verifying if the record is valid through a database (like a briteverify) but instead it's letting you know the status we have received after we've sent an email to that record. Here are the three options you'll see there:

Verified Email = We have sent an email to said record and received a successful message back from the recipients server indicating they received the email and it has been deleted.

Unverified Email = We have sent an email to said record and have not received any message back from the recipient server so we can not verify the receipt of the record. OR we have not sent an email to this record at all. Most of your records that you have not sent an email to yet will have this status.

Bounced = We have sent an email to said record and received some bounce information back from the recipient server indicating the recipient will not receive the email.

To answer your other question in regards to why a lead might not push up to Sugar. There could be several reasons. Our system is highly customizable so every step along the way for a record to be update and push to the CRM would need to be enabled. For example, when you create a Landing Page / Form the default behavior is we enable the option to "Push to External CRM." This option could be toggled off. In addition to this there is a master configuration that dictates if records come or go under the User Menu (top right) > Administration View > SugarCRM - Settings > If you do not have "Allow the creation of new Leads" or perhaps "Allow updates to Lead and Contact records" enabled then regardless of what you do in other parts of the system, we will not perform these actions.

This is just one of many examples. One piece to note is if you were to make a manual update to a record inside Sugar CRM we don't naturally sync that record up to the CRM as updates on individual records really should be done within your CRM (the master database). But most other actions within the system specify to push the record up to the CRM via an option like through scoring, listeners, nurtures.

If you're running into any issues with records not pushing or pulling - or even any issues at all then contact support@sugarcrm.com for us to further look into this.

I hope this helps clarify your questions! Have a great day.
