The Sugar Market web tracking code tracks an individual's activity on the website. If the individual doesn't exist in Sugar Market yet, the web activity needs to be tracked & recorded somewhere. Since it is anonymous web activity and we don't have their email yet, we cannot associate the activity to a Lead/Contact, so the system will create an Account based off of the IP address and continue to track the web activity to that Account.
Whenever we are able to identify the anonymous web activity (typically through cookies if the individual fills out a Sugar Market form or clicks in a Sugar Market email), we will then associate their email address to their previous web activity. As you collect more information about them, their Contact & Account will update/populate with any obtained company information.
