Hello Vaibhav Deshmukh,
Can you share more details from your scenario?
Which Sugar version and deployment type are you running?
In a 13.0 version, I can't reproduce what you are describing as in the column picker in the Report the "License Type" is not exposed in the report editor:
With that in mind, if you are running an instance with IDM enabled the best way to retrieve this information is from the Users List view on the Sugar Cloud settings page:
Looking forward to hearing from you.
André
Would be useful to have these fields 'exposed' for reporting please, or any reason why they are not?
Hello Tony Romano,
I believe that the reason that they are not available is due to the fact covered in this same post.
The values that are stored in the DB contain system data and when exposed in the report without any transformation show meaningless data to the end users.
With that in mind, I've created the following Idea to have our PM's analyse the possibility of adding this field to reports.
#92320 ( portal.sugarondemand.com/ )
thank you Andre Serrazina
I'm not a direct customer so unable to access the portal ideas - shame, as many consultants and developers working with CRM could provide good ideas and knowledge.
SugarCRM seems to be raising more barriers last few years, and I don't think that can help adoption and faster growth like many years ago
Hello Andre Serrazina I agree with Tony Romano, the ideas should be noticeable to everyone, so that everyone will have proper understanding of the feature and its limitations, and so can work to find other alternatives.
Thanks for pointing this out Tony Romano and Vaibhav Deshmukh, you bring up some good points!
Andre Serrazina and I have brought this up internally to find out more about the access control around the Issues and Ideas.
In case you haven't seen these updates, there are some more details in these posts from Lizzy Overlund and Brian Mackey about how we've been evolving our Issues and Ideas processes: https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/engage/b/voice-of-the-customer/posts/improvements-to-how-we-manage-defects-enhancement-requests (and the update here: https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/engage/b/voice-of-the-customer/posts/a-new-way-of-managing-product-issues-or-ideas).
We'll keep you posted on any feedback from the internal discussions around access!
