Can SugarCRM 12 Enterprise use Mysql 8 with innodb clustering?

We are upgrading to SugarCRM 12 Enterprise edition.    As part of the upgrade we are provisioning three new mysql DB Servers.   Our DBA is recommending we set this up as an innidb cluster,  but he is concerned about slow queries causing issues with the cluster.

Has anyone setup this configuration with Sugar?  What issues did you encounter, if any?  Our current configuration is two mysql servers running version 5.7 setup in a master - master configuration. .
