I now have the backup in hand. From that, can I selectively restore the two modules that I wanted to transfer without restoring everything (including not restoring data)?

It is cloud based. I will create the support case. Will that give me the *entire* sugar instance? Or can I request just certain modules?

That only is half of the equation. You also need the files that are situated in the root/modules/<modulename> .If you have access to the filesystem you can easily do so. If on the cloud you should create a support case to ask if they can create a backup of the instance (if not yet available) and extract the files from the tar file.

From within Studio; you can export the customizations. You will be prompted to select a module.
