Duplicate check /required fields when creating a record via API

Before performing your POST to the rest/v10/<modules>/ end point to create your entry you can perform a POST to the rest/v10/<modules>/duplicateCheck endpoint to launch a duplicate check. It returns a list of entries which is empty if any duplicate entries are find or with the result of the duplicate check.

Wouldn't you just use the 'get_module_fields' call to get a list of fields and then use that to check requiredness before posting?  Been a while since I bothered to make the call, I think thats the name, I just check my data before I post it and I already know what fields are required.  Would need to be a bit more diligent for something I would distribute.

I was hoping there would be something built in to disallow entries that don't have all required fields and not rely on programmer to be knowledgeable/careful. I like to try fool-proofing things if at all possible.
